Healthy Lifestyle Choices

There are many claims of healthy life choices but which ones will actually give you long term results?  Recently I came across this article in which reiterates what I said earlier about fad diets and that they don’t work.

The Maxim staff wrote an article on “Reboot your life” in the health section of  The staff hit some great points that are worth looking at.  They also said the only thing that creates a healthy lifestyle that works is exercising and eating healthier.

In this article the Maxim staff also gives some tips for the four seasons on how to improve your health in Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.  Many of the tips I agree with but there some  I don’t.  Maybe just 2 or 3, that’s not so bad.  But, you should check out the article and decide for yourself and see what you think.

Why Eat Raw Food?

So why eat raw food?  3 Reasons Why:

  1. Raw foods are alive.
  2. Raw food creates life.
  3. Raw foods are loaded with vitamins and enzymes.


Most of the foods we eat today are DEAD FOODS!

Our society believes eating cooked vegetables are good enough to supplement those missing vitamins and minerals in their body.  But, what they don’t realize is the fact that most of the essential enzymes are depleted or wiped-out during the cooking or heating process.

Did you ever notice when you steam broccoli or any  green vegetable the water inside the pot is green in color.   What does this tell you?  Simply, most of beneficial nutrients are left behind in the water.

One of the best ways to add more raw foods to your diet is by drinking them in a green smoothie.  I myself find this to be the best way for adding live foods to my diet.  Plus, not only does blending the fruits and vegetables into a green smoothie have tremendous amounts of nutrition in them, they taste great too!

So why eat raw food?  Because it creates a healthy life and it makes you feel good.  What can be better than that?  Absolutely nothing!

Be Responsible for Your Own Health

The first step to living a healthier lifestyle is to take responsibility of your own health.

No matter what goes on inside or outside of your body you must take charge and be in total control of the situation.  This means being responsible for everything!

If you’re trying to change bad habits which trouble you daily, than you must take charge of your life and “nip it at the bud.”

The problem with today’s society is it’s so easy to take a drug or pill to cure health issues (or at least we think it does) that bombard your body daily.  The sad part is that drug you’re taking might be helping you temporarily but it’s killing another part of your body.  When was the last time you saw a commercial on TV describing a new drug on the market and before the commercial was over there’s usually a handful of deadly side affects associated with the medication.

If you’re one of these people who think taking a pill the rest of your life is the answer to your health problems than God bless Ya!  Because it doesn’t need to be this way.

Here’s a good example of the average person with heartburn.  Instead of changing the foods that are causing the heartburn, they would rather take a pill or a tums tablet to hide the acid reflux or indigestion.  what kink of nonsense is that?  I’ll tell you what it is, simply you’re not being responsible for your own heath!

No matter what you might think in regards of the health issues you are facing, if you just change your eating habits and start introducing healthier foods in your diet daily, such as drinking a green smoothie, you will see miraculous changes in your well being.

Stop beating yourself up and start taking charge of your life by being responsible for your own health, and see for your own eyes how rejuvenated your mind and body could be, if you just change what you put in your body.
