Why Eat Raw Vegetables?

Do I really need raw vegetables and fruit in my diet?

Simply, you want to eat raw vegetables because your body needs the enzymes to create a healthy environment within.

Many of us think just because we eat cooked greens or vegetables this is good enough, and we’re getting our source of veggies in our diet.  Well, you’re getting veggies in your diet, but you kill off almost all of the good enzymes your body needs.  About the only benefit you get from cooked greens or veggies is fiber.

You should eat at least 50-60% or more raw foods during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Here’s what I mean:  We’ll use breakfast for an example.

If you like to have eggs, bacon, or bagels with cream cheese etc… for breakfast, this is totally opposite of what I’m talking about.

Did you ever consider eating just fruit or raw veggies for breakfast?  This is where drinking a green smoothie makes it easy and quick! Refer back to the green smoothies article by clicking here on raw vegetables to see how easy it is!

Note: If you don’t have raw foods in your diet at all, be careful with how much you consume at first. Make it a gradual change, this way your body accepts it more easily. It’s been a known fact, many people who switch from the typical “western diet” , become very sick. Just take it slowly, and everything will be OK.
